Who We Are

Adrian Clements — Founder & Principal

Adrian founded AT-IPIC to bridge the gap between theoretical risk frameworks and the practical realities of managing performance in complex, fast-moving organisations. With over 30 years of hands-on experience spanning banking, asset management, insurance, and industrial risk, he combines deep quantitative expertise with pragmatic governance insight.

Throughout his career Adrian has held senior risk roles in major international institutions — including GeneralCologne Re — advising boards and executive teams on risk appetite, governance design, and regulatory capital. He is a recognised speaker at leading global risk forums, including FERMA, Mapfre Global Risk, RiskNet, and MarcusEvans, and has been interviewed by The Economist, Strategic Risk, and Global Risk Magazine on topics ranging from supply chain and political risk to captive insurance and Industry 4.0.

His research centres on what he calls the "Lighthouse Effect" — the way well-intentioned risk signals can paradoxically attract rather than deter dangerous behaviour — and on building organisational prosilience: the capacity to adapt, absorb shocks, and recover stronger. This thinking sits directly behind AT-IPIC's own Lighthouse module.

AT-IPIC serves both seasoned risk and performance managers seeking advanced perspectives, and organisations new to structured risk-based management who need a practical foundation. Every engagement is grounded in real practitioner experience — not textbook theory.

Our Services

Bespoke Consulting Services for the Modern Business Challenge

AT-IPIC is a bespoke consulting company specifically focusing on risk-based performance enhancement and transformation. We work with organisations that need more than generic frameworks — they need a partner who understands that every business context is unique.

Decision making is difficult. Legislation is changing, regulations are more complicated, and competition is intense. Stakeholder interests extend far beyond traditional shareholder priorities, and the pace of change continues to accelerate.

AT-IPIC provides the structured clarity, the external perspective, and the practical methodology that gives your leadership team confidence — not just in planning, but in execution and sustained performance.

Our Core Tagline

"Risk management-based performance transformation and enhancement"

This isn't merely a tagline — it describes a fundamental philosophy. Risk management is not a compliance exercise for AT-IPIC; it is the lens through which we identify opportunity, prioritise action, and ensure that performance gains are durable.

Our Values

The Principles That Guide Everything We Do

Our values are not aspirational statements — they are the operating principles that shape every engagement, every recommendation, and every relationship we build.

🎯

Purpose and Vision

Purpose and vision drive efficient, effective solutions. We believe that without a clear "why," no methodology — however rigorous — will deliver lasting results. We start with your purpose and build outwards.

♻️

Sustainability Commitment

Behaviour and decision-making demonstrate a real sustainability commitment. We challenge decisions that optimise short-term metrics at the cost of long-term resilience — balancing EBITDA growth with mitigation costs and opportunity windows.

🔄

Continuous Improvement

Continuous improvement and adaptability shape company culture. We don't deliver a report and leave — we embed methodologies and mindsets that keep improving after we're gone. The goal is capability transfer, not dependency.

🤝

Respect, Curiosity & Trust

A culture emphasising respect, curiosity, and trust is non-negotiable. We ask difficult questions with genuine curiosity, not judgment. We challenge cognitive bias while respecting the expertise and experience your team already holds.

Our Difference

Why AT-IPIC Is Different

Most consulting engagements address symptoms. AT-IPIC addresses systems — because sustainable performance improvement requires integrated thinking, not siloed interventions.

Integrated vs Siloed

We replace fragmented, departmental processes with one unified system — ATLAS. Decisions in one area automatically inform and align with decisions in others, eliminating the contradictions and budget battles that drain management energy.

External & Internal Perspective

We bring external market perspectives alongside rigorous internal analysis. Most organisations are too close to their own operations to see the full picture. Our consultants use professional networks and global expertise to challenge assumptions without the cognitive biases that develop over time.

Holistic Decision Making

Our methodology incorporates EBITDA growth, mitigation costs, and opportunity windows simultaneously. We don't just look at growth — we include the full cost of risk management so that investments are sustainable, not just optimistic.

Lighthouse, Not Control Tower

A control tower looks inward and reacts. A lighthouse continuously scans the horizon in all directions — giving early warning of hazards and helping navigate the complex waters of cognitive bias, uneven playing fields, and wants versus needs.

Problems vs Symptoms

We initiate an analytical process that distinguishes between problems and symptoms. This is not a philosophical point — it changes where you invest. Treating symptoms is expensive and temporary; treating root causes creates durable competitive advantage.

Insight Over Reporting

"Reporting has a tendency to flow upwards — information becomes more confidential and smothers insight." We democratise performance data, ensuring that the people who create and lose value have the transparency they need to make good decisions.
